Low real estate costs
A 2008 report released by professional service provider Jones Lang LaSalle highlighted the fact that real estate prices in Antwerp are exceptionally competitive compared to other Western European hubs. Rental prices for warehouse space stand at around € 50/m² per annum, while the average prices for offices stand at between € 85 and € 135 /m² per annum in the city of Antwerp. Purchase prices for land stand at between € 60 (on the periphery of the Antwerp region) and € 175 (in the environs of the city of Antwerp) per m².

DTZ Research Survey
A 2009 survey made by leading market real estate adviser DTZ showed that companies can gain a serious competitive advantage by choosing the right office market and thereby optimising their real estate costs. In terms of Total Occupancy Cost per workstation per year the city of Antwerp is ranked 90th, leaving behind many other major western European business destinations:
