Overseas expansion
Looking at the (Western) European market it is clear that for good overseas companies, there are countless opportunities in Europe waiting to be seized. The most important objective when approaching this market is to do it in a cost-effective way so that you maximise your return on investment and that you fulfil the wishes and needs of your very different European customers.

Adaptation
In this respect it is good to keep in mind that research has shown that in practice no less than 80 percent of product introductions fail. The success of a certain product in the home market is not guaranteed to be the same in Europe. So smart innovation, and therefore adaptation, is a key factor to reduce the risk of your product introduction.

Expertise
Furthermore, another aspect that has to be taken very seriously when expanding overseas, is to make use of expertise which is available in the market that you will be targeting. What is cheap for European customers? What is attractive? Useful? Logical? Trendy? All these depend on culture. So, to increase the chance of a successful European market penetration it’s best to call on local expertise.

Logistics and Location
You need to optimise your supply chain .It’s amazing to find out what a strong impact your logistics can have on your overall revenue. But apart from the above, it is also about choosing the right location. A location that is centrally located, that has the right infrastructure , that offers you an excellent workforce and so forth.
